About the Universal Pen / Pencil Holder:

The Universal Pen / Pencil Holder from OIH Designs holds pens and pencils of any shape to notebooks, clipboards, refrigerators, or virtually any other surface. It is adapted for general use from the version included with our MultiBoards and Clipboards. We designed it from the ground up after being unable to find a different truly universal pen or pencil holder on the market.

It comes in two styles: Flat, for taping into notebooks and onto clipboards, above, and hook and look (with optional magnets), for anything else.

How it works:

The basic principle of the design is very simple. A piece of elastic strap is run through a slit that is narrower than the elastic when relaxed (but not when stretched. This keeps the elastic in place, and means it is infinitely adjustable. A heart-shaped piece on the front keeps the elastic loop open. A third piece of plastic has another slit to allow a second loop to be made. Finally, a metal round crimp at the back keeps the two ends of elastic together.

Versions and Options:

The Holder comes in two styles, flat and hook-and-loop.

• Flat is designed for notebooks and clipboards where a low profile and holding your writing utensil to the side is idea.

• Hook-and-loop is designed for any other object (refrigerators, machines, etc) where you want your writing utensil to sit above the mount instead of to the side.

Flat Style:

Tapes into notebook or onto clipboards and holds your pen to the side.

Hook and Loop Style:

Stick the anchors to whatever you like and hold your writing utensil wherever you need it. Your writing utensil(s) are held in line with the universal holder.

Optional Magnet Feet:

We offer optional magnet feet with strong Nd magnets that have non-slip silicone on one side and loop fastener on the other. Great for holding writing utensils to machines, refrigerators, tool chests, etc without applying the loop fastener directly to the object.
